Directory search tips: Finding someone who suits you

You can search this directory in any of the following ways.

  • Search by county – This will list everyone in the Directory who has an office in your county or is willing to visit a local location.
  • Search by type of conflict – This will list everyone who has described him/herself as having experience handling problems like yours. In the case of custody/visitation or divorce/marital property, it also means that the practitioner states that s/he underwent specialized training on mediation in these areas.
  • Search by type of practitioner – There are five types of practitioners listed in this Directory. One person may list him/herself under as many categories as s/he has experience. The type of practitioner you need depends on the type of conflict. See the definitions.
  • Search by 2 or all 3 of the above – You can also search by 2 or more of these categories. This will limit your search. Only people who fit both (or all three) criteria will be listed.
  • Search by name – If you know the name of someone, you can also search by first and/or last name. Remember that the system will only be able to find the name if the spelling is identical to the spelling listed in the Directory.
