If You are an Employer

As an employer, there are some steps you can take to help an employee who may be being abused. Here are some websites that provide advice on how to help your employee and keep your work place safe.

Vinelink is a free public service provided by the Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention that allows victims, law enforcement, etc., to register to recieve updates on the case status of an offender.

Domestic Violence and the Workplace -- Tips from the Federal Government
This website is run by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and is aimed at supporting federal employees affected by domestic violence, although most of the information can be applied to supporting non-federal employees, as well. This website contains information for abused persons, co-workers, and work managers about what resources and options are available to help protect abused persons in the workplace and in their personal lives.

Guideline for Employers
This website contains in-depth information for managers, human resources personnel, security personnel, and others about how to make the workplace safer when an employee is involved in a domestic violence situation.
