financial, and parenting issues. You can also link to state-specific information. In addition,
it has bulletin boards and chat rooms: please remember that anyone is allowed
to post to these services. Even people who are honest may give you wrong
information; these services can provide support, but do not rely on the
information too much. Divorce Central is a for-profit company, based in
Millwood, NY, which earns money by selling advertising on its webpages.

Their attempt is to enable citizens to access the law without incurring the high cost of legal fees. Divorce Law Information is a web page run lawyers, paralegals, web marketing specialists, legal researchers, and computer professionals.

- This website includes information about family law issues and
finances. The website is broken
down into topics, with a question and answer section to each topic.
MoneyCentral is a for-profit Microsoft Network (MSN) site which earns money by
selling advertising on its webpages, and services to commercial organizations
and the public.
The Children of Separation and Divorce Center
(COSD)
- The Center provides a variety of
services to Maryland residents. COSD recently published “Talking to Children
About Separation and Divorce” which can be ordered from the site. This is a
non-profit center in Columbia, Maryland, which maintains the website as a
public service. General
Law Sites with Divorce Sections
AllLaw
- This site includes articles on child custody, domestic violence, and
marriage and divorce. It offers some court forms and child support calculators.
In addition, it provides links to more family law websites and a
directory that assists in finding a family lawyer in your area. This is a
for-profit site which earns money by selling advertising, and support services
for attorneys.
If you are part of a military family…there are Family Centers (located on most military installations) that can provide information, life skills education, and support services to military members and their families. Family Centers can link you with local community services as well as state and federal assistance programs. Family Centers generally have relationships with a broad range of organizations such as local health and human services, religious groups, school systems, employment assistance, law enforcement, recreation, and other service providers. Remember that the term “Family Centers" is a general term and that each branch of the military uses its own specific name. You can find general information on the Military Homefront web site.
