  Property Taxes and Rebates

Maryland has a Property Owner's "Bill of Rights". The following links to the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) offer clear guidance on the process of property taxation and assessment in Maryland:

In addition, SDAT offers general tax credit and exemption information as well as information on the Maryland homeowner’s property tax credit program

You may also be eligible for tax credits for older and historic houses (information from the Maryland Historical Trust).
