Maryland Medical Assistance For Families

Starting July, 1, 2008 Maryland Medical Assistance for Families will provide health care to more parents and families caring for children.  Eligibility depends on family size and income level.  This new program will provide;

Changes to the new Medical Assistance for Families include:

• no asset limit

• no face to face interview required

• shorter application process

• ability to apply online    

• ability to apply by mail,fax, or in person at your Local Heath Department      

• available to pregnant women

• available for family members caring for children
