Fee-Based Legal Assistance

  • National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives
    An association of over 3,300 attorneys and non-attorney advocate experts who represent Social Security and Supplemental Security Income claimants.
  • Lawyer Referral Service - Referral panels that can locate a lawyer by geographic area and areas of law handled.  Usually, there is a small fee for an initial consultation. Then the fee for any further legal work depends on the agreement between you and the lawyer.
  • Search FindLaw fromWest Publishing Company's Legal Directory to find a lawyer. This is a national commercial legal publisher. it is searchable by name, practice area and geographic location.
    • AARP's Legal Services Network where an AARP member (age 50 & over) can get a 30 minute free consultation. You can hire the attorney at a discounted hourly rate.
  • Search the Martindale-Hubble list of lawyers to find a lawyer by area of practice, geographic area, etc. This is a national locator and it contains basic contact information.
