Physically Lost Your Drivers License? If you physically lost your Maryland Driver's license, obtaining a replacement license is not a difficult task but some materials are needed. This information below does not relate to licenses that have been revoked or suspended, only misplaced or stolen. The MVA requires a form of identification with a signature on it. Some materials you may wish to bring:
The cost for a replacement license is $20. Only full service MVA locations will do drivers licenses' and it must be done in person. If you believe your license was stolen (say along with your wallet) report this to the agent to which you are assigned. Hint: Visit the MVA in the middle of the week and in the middle of the month. They are much less busy at those times. It is important however to replace your license if you plan on driving. Driving without a driver's license is a crime which carries a fine.
