Scheduling
There is automatically a scheduling conference after an answer is filed. If the case is contested or a trial is otherwise appropriate, the trial is set then.

Settlement Conferences
The Court holds settlement conferences when one or both parties are pro se.

Length of Time to Get a Hearing
Usually less that 60 days.

Emergency Hearings - Pro Se Litigants
It is suggested that you get a lawyer if you need an emergency hearing. There are no blank forms for requesting an emergency hearing.

It is possible to see a judge the same day as your request if the judge reviews the papers and considers it a true emergency.

Who Will Hear The Case
Uncontested matters such as divorces are heard by Examiners.

Judges will hear anything but uncontested divorces.
