Court Fees

Uncontested Divorce Master Fee: $150
Is this fee paid to the Master?: No - To the clerk
Pro Se filing fee: $105
Filing fee with an attorney: $115
Post-judgment filing fee: $25

Sheriff's Fees
Sheriff's fee for service: $40
Reissuance of Summons: No additional fee.

Fee Waivers
Sheriff's and Master's fees are not waived.


Forms
Distribution
The most reliable source of family court forms is the Administrative Office of the Courts, Family Services Division, which provides the most recent versions of forms for pro se litigants through their website. Forms are also available from the clerk's office.

Forms Assistance for Pro Se Litigants
Every Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30, attorneys are available to assist pro se litigants fill out forms. This service is free and takes place in the 2nd floor law library.

Domestic Case Management (DCM) Forms
Required from pro se filers?: Yes
Required in cases with an attorney?: Yes

Child Support Worksheets/Guidelines
Available from the clerk's office and the Office of Child Support Enforcement. They are also available through the Department of Human Resources website. <http://www.dhr.state.md.us/csea/worksheet.htm>

Notarization
Notarization is generally not required.

Emergency Hearing (Pro Se Litigants)
A litigant requesting an emergency hearing must fill out the emergency hearing form. It is not possible to have an emergency hearing the same day the request is filed because proof of service is required. A litigant may also file for an ex parte protective order.
