child support from the absent parent. Services
available through the child support enforcement
offices are: searching for the absent parent,
proving the paternity of the child, getting a court
order for support, collecting support payments, and
enforcing the court order. Lawyers are available to
take child support cases to court.
Custodial parents seeking to establish/enforce child
support are entitled (by law) to be represented by

Child Support
Enforcement Administration Office of Interstate
Operations Department of Human Resources helps
secure child support from parent by locating absent parents, proving the
paternity, obtaining court orders for support, enforcing court orders, and
collecting support payments. Lawyers are available. No financial
screening, but some cases require a one-time fee of $25. Applications are

Public Defender if they face incarceration for
