The Human Relations Commission is a seven-member commission, responsible for the elimination of discrimination in all areas of community life. This involves the adoption and implementation of a comprehensive educational and action plan; receiving and investigating complaints involving various forms of discrimination; the adoption of rules and regulations that allows the Commission to carry out its assigned functions; and cooperation with federal and state agencies having similar functions.
