Program Description
Through a grant from Maryland Legal Services Corporation, Alternative Directions staff paralegals:
• Provide workshops on civil-legal rights and responsibilities to men and women incarcerated throughout Maryland.
• Assist incarcerated persons and others who are income-eligible with uncontested civil matters such as temporary guardianship, divorce, custody and visitation, child support modification and expungement
• Screen clients for possible referrals to other legal assistance programs and pro bono attorneys.
