Montgomery County 

The Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs Division of Housing and Code Enforcement, Landlord-Tenant Affairs section, handles Montgomery County Landlord-tenant issues. To get information or help regarding your legal problem, click here to go the Montgomery County Landlord-Tenant Rules and Laws Handbook, or you can visit their offices at 100 Maryland Avenue, 4th Floor Rockville, MD 20850 or call them at 240-777-0311; TDD 711.

City of Rockville

Click here to go to the Rockville City Code and Charter. The section concerning landlord-tenant law is in Chapter 18, Article IV of the code. You can call or visit the Landlord/Tenant Affairs Commission of the City of Rockville’s Community Planning and Development Services Department. Their phone number is (240) 314-8320. This number will be answered by the Staff Liaison, Christina Casarella, or another representative of the Commission. Their offices are located at the Rockville City Hall at 111 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850, and they are open on Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City of Gaithersburg

Click here to go the City of Gaithersburg’s Landlord-Tenant Code. The City’s Neighborhood Services Division also provides Landlord-tenant help over the phone at (301) 258-6340, through email at neighborhoods@gaithersburgmd.gov, or in person at their offices at the Gaithersburg City Hall located at 31 South Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. They are open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City of Takoma Park

There, you can find a Landlord-Tenant Handbook of Laws and Regulations for Takoma Park (English/Spanish). You can also call or visit them for help.  Their phone number is (301) 891-7119, their email is housing@takomaparkmd.gov, and they are located at 7500 Maple Avenue, Takoma park, MD 20912. Their hours of operation are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
